James Bond is on his way back.
And he won’t be returning to the big screen alone.
It was announced this morning that the next installment in this iconic, long-running franchise will be sub-titled "Spectre," with with Christoph Waltz on board as the next arch villain going up against Daniel Craig’s beloved secret agent.
The multiple-time Academy Award winner will portray a character named Oberhauser.
No further details have been confirmed, but it’s rumored this nemesis will be the head of a crime syndicate.
"I could not be happier to be having him in this cast and joining us on this journey," director Sam Mendes told reporters at Pinewood Studios at the launch of Spectre, in reference to Waltz.
Along with Craig, Ralph Fiennes will return as M; Ben Whishaw as Q; and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny.
Monica Bellucci will play a woman named Lucia Sciarra, while French actress Léa Seydoux will portray Madeleine Swann.
The 24th edition of the James Bond movie franchise will be released on November 6, 2015 – and it will have mighty profitable shoes to fill:
Skyfall, the 23rd edition in this franchise, brought in more than $1.1 billion at the global box office.
