Neal is surprisingly "in" with the Pink Panthers at the onset of White Collar Season 6 Episode 2, but getting in and staying in are two different things.

When we pick up the action in White Collar Season 6 Episode 2, El swears Peter to secrecy after he learns that El is pregnant. We’ll see if he obliges.
Neal presents Peter with a contract – words only go so far – drafted by Mozzie to secure his freedom once Neal brings the Pink Panthers down for the FBI.
Peter warns him that this plan carries an obvious, substantial risk.
Preparing to go to work for the Panthers, Neal finds his nemesis Matthew Keller present, and is given the task of stealing a rare stamp within 48 hours.
Despite being turned off by Keller’s involvement, Peter’s in too.
As you’re keenly aware if you watch White Collar online, best laid plans rarely turn out as the players might hope, as Neal learns as he meets the mark.
Masquerading as Nathaniel Dietrich, she refuses to negotiate with him, agreeing only to meet with his father. Peter is forced to step in and help with this.
Then the next hurdle: The FBI is forced to report the stamp.
The bureau logs it with an international registry in order to locate its owner, at which point Peter tries to persuade Neal against pursuing the Panthers further.
He does so anyway, by creating a forgery of the product!
