Tuesday on The Mindy Project Season 3 Episode 9, the title character tried to set up Danny’s mom on a blind date, which ended as you might expect it would.
Annette walking in on Danny and Mindy taking a bath together was the last straw for the latter, who is upset at her beau’s lack of boundaries with her.
Danny keeps trying to defend Annette, making things worse.
Tamra dumps Morgan, who moves his stuff into Peter’s office. Because obviously. Peter sets up an online dating profile for Morgan to help him move on.
Peter unknowingly shows Mindy that Annette is one of the choices on Morgan’s profile, leading to some of the funniest moments of this latest installment.
Mindy had attempted to set Annette up with Dr. Ladroe, an older colleague of hers, but he never heard back from her. Annette now wants to play the field.
She joined an online site to date more, Annette shares.
Mindy tries to talk her out of this idea she unwittingly put in motion by setting her up with Morgan as a means of showing her that online dating is for weirdos.
Only they hit it off and she wants to date some more.
Hilariously, Morgan begins to treat Danny like a father figure, making him incredibly flustered and causing him to confront his beloved ma about this.
Annette reveals that she’s wanted to step out of her comfort zone and date for awhile, but held off due to Danny’s lingering disappointment with his father.
When Tamra starts to get jealous, Peter tells her to go win him back. He’s not up for it, however, because Mindy has opened up this new world to him.
Morgan moves out of Peter’s office … and Tamra moves in.
Back at the hospital, Dr. Ladroe decides not to retire after all, to Dr. Reed’s chagrin, after Annette calls him back. She also knocks during Danny’s next bath.
