Most. Awkward. Threesome. EVER.
On Scandal Season 4 Episode 8, Liv, Fitz and Jake teamed up to take down Command… but read those three names again. Do you really think they were able to work together in a coherent and efficient manner?
It seemed simple enough to gather evidence again Rowan and to bring him into custody, but Fitz and Jake spent most of the hour going at each other instead.
That is, until Olivia offered herself up as the "shiny object," as the "scandal" that would lure in her dastardly dad.
All was going according to plan at the father-daughter dinner… until Rowan went into monologue mode. He made it clear he knew all about Liv’s plan to trap him, but his men were taking out her men off one by one outside the restaurant.
Rowan was so prepared that even the top-secret files David Rosen was asked to obtain turned out to be blank. Darn you, Rowan!
From there, Rowan got up and walked out of the restaurant. And out of Olivia’s life? We somehow doubt it.
ELSEWHERE, the Gladiators were hired by Liz to determine who bugged her phone (Cyrus, as you’ll learn when you watch Scandal online), but chose to start spying on Liz instead.
And – look at that! – it turns out she’s been sleeping with Vice President Andrew Nichols.
But the true shocker of this storyline took place when Dan Kubiak broke into OPA’s surveillance van, only to have Huck squash his head against a broken window and watch him bleed to death. Oh, and Huck’s son witnessed the entire thing.
Also, a car bomb nearly took Andrew’s life to kick off the episode, but that explosion was peanuts compared to the one that went off in Mellie’s heart when she and the VP got it on once again.
She’s obviously unaware that Andrew also has Lizzie has a side piece.
Also of note:
- Cyrus and Michael engaged in some angry sex.
- Fitz didn’t exactly take no for an initial answer during an uncomfortable scene with Olivia in the bunker.
- Liz to Jake: “Don’t ever talk about me and another man and the sun ever again.”
