After a man was killed by a drone on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 6 Episode 7, the team set out to learn why and uncovered a terrorist plot to attack Long Beach.
Sierra Fisher took video of the attack on the phone of Elias Minas – the drone attack victim who was in witness protection for having info on terrorist group PK.
Fisher wants the phone back to erase pics, and Sam and G threaten to tell the media about a witness in order to get her to sing, so she spills what she knows.
Meanwhile, Kensi and Deeks find a dead body in a dumpster as Sam and Callen follow Kouris, the terrorist Minas ran into that day, into a restaurant.
Callen poses as a health inspector and Sam as an upset customer to get to Kouris, who they are able to subdue after their ruse and a fight to boot.
Kouris says he didn’t kill Minas, nor did PK, and gives them the address of an apartment to check out while Kensi traces the drone back to a garage.
There, they learn that Minas was killed by his own drone prototype.
The apartment Kouris followed Minas to leads the team to a new suspect, Rand Palmer, a home grown terrorist who commissioned a bigger drone.
NCIS learns that the target is a Long Beach oil refinery, and the team takes heavy fire as they attempt to stop Palmer, who runs off with the controller.
Callen takes out Palmer, but the armed drone is already airborne.
He ends up bringing down the machine in an empty lot after some tense moments. Not bad for a guy who dislikes robots so much he returned a gifted Roomba.
Also this week, Hetty encourages Nell in her quest to be an undercover agent, despite her lingering doubts that she can’t do what the other ones do.
