At the beginning of Criminal Minds Season 10 Episode 8, Jack Westbrook, a Boston defense attorney, is kidnapped by two young men and the BAU investigates.

The assailants want him to confess to something, with diverging motives.

Chad Griffith wants him to confess, then wants to kill him on the spot.

Andrew Ford wants Jack to confess, then turn him over to the cops.

The BAU deduces that Jack kept a secret apartment and was likely a pedophile, with the two men who abducted him being among his many victims.

Jack won’t confess, at which point a third victim, Brian Stiller, shows up. Chad pulls a gun on him, a struggle ensues and Chad ends up shot and killed.

Undeterred, Andrew orders Jack to confess on camera again. When Jack refuses, Andrew hands the gun to Brian and goes to get gasoline to torch the building.

The BAU learns that Jack worked with Sudworth Place, a charity that operated as a halfway house for troubled boys – the victims he would later prey upon.

They learn that Brian, too, is a pedophile in a disturbing turn of events. If you watch Criminal Minds online, you know this also results in another unlikely twist.

Jack tells Brian he knows his secret, and urges him to kill Andrew.

He’s not buying it. Andrew returns from his errand to find that Brian has killed Jack, whose body they throw in a pit, cover with gasoline and light on fire.

As the BAU arrives, the two are retreating, and a standoff ensues.

Morgan reveals his own history as an abuse victim to convince Andrew to lower his weapon. Brian is arrested for possession and distribution of child porn.

Meanwhile, terrifyingly, Kate’s niece Meg is alone with a friend doing some homework, when an Internet predator contacts them and asks for a photo.
