Did Roy kill Sara? Did Oliver bring down Ted Grant? These were the two questions most pressing on Arrow Season 3 Episode 6.
A string of murders in Starling City brought to mind similar killings from six years ago in The Glades; killings committed by Ted’s onetime vigilante alter ago.
As a result, both Arrow and the police set their sights on Grant, as well as Isaac, Ted’s former protege who went a bit crazy and beat a drug dealer to death back in the day.
Ted cut Isaac loose, but he’s returned to seek vengeance for the torture he suffered at the hands of a drug cartel.
Oliver, of course, also had an issue with Grant due to his training of Laurel. He warned his friend that she was playing a very dangerous game in attempting to follow in her sister’s footsteps. This is not a game, he insisted.
This message never took hold, however, as Laurel was back in Ted’s gym by the end of the episode.
Meanwhile, Roy struggled with his drams of murdering Sara. Did they mean he actuality did it? Were they memories instead of dreams?
Fortunately, Felicity’s blood test for Mirakuru traces came back clean, but Felicity also determined that someone of below-average height did Sara in.
Roy comes clean about his visions to Oliver, Laurel and Diggle, the latter of whom was especially hard on him. We need to stick to one set of rules, he said. For everyone.
However, after Roy helped take down Isaac, he needed confirmation that Oliver would “never” abandon him. And he got it.
Instead, Oliver used a meditation technique taught to him in flashback by Maseo’s wife, Tatsu, to look deeply into Roby’s dreams. Turns out, they are really about when he arrow’d to death that police officer while overdosed on Mirakuru, another upsetting reality for Roy to grasp.
So, no, Roy Harper did not kill Sara. Phew, right?!?
We closed the installment with a look at Arrow’s stalker, someone who will figure prominently in Arrow Season 3 Episode 7, as teased below.
