Another Freak was lost on American Horror Story Season 4 Episode 7.

We ended last Wednesday’s installment with Jimmy set to rescue the twins at Dandy’s house, despite Gloria’s insistence that she “paid good money” and wasn’t about to give them up.

On this installment, Dot realized Dandy had invaded her privacy (diary style) and communicated via her mind with Bette, who told Dandy that she’s sorry, but she chooses her sister. She always chooses her sister.

Jimmy went back to the carnival grounds and simply told Elsa he’s singing Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” for patrons that night, whether she wants him to or not.

However, Dot lied about how they ended up at the Motts, placing Elsa uncomfortably in their debt. And placing some egg on Jimmy’s face in the process. She demanded half the box office and for Bette to become a comedienne.

But all isn’t so bad for Jimmy: he’s sleeping with Maggie and he has strong suspicions that Dandy is a nut job.

Elsewhere, Stanley threatened to expose Dell as gay if he didn’t provide the remains of a dead performer.

He first tried Eve, who fought him off. But Jimmy learned of this attempt and told the women he’d handle Dell… by getting wasted and admitting he knew the strongman is his father? Bad move, Jimmy.

Except that Dell ended up embracing his son, which caused Jimmy to tell him about the women wanting him dead. Okay, that’s a bad move, Jimmy.

And while Jimmy may have finally bonded with his father, Dell ended up fulfilling Stanley’s wish: he snapped Ma Petite’s neck, but at least we saw her posthumously taking center stage in the Museum of Horrors way up in the sky.

With Paul on the verge of death, Penny risked her life to tell her dad that she was leaving to live with her lover and the other carnie folks.

Her father responded by having an artist tattoo her force and fork her tongue in order to make her a freak. Paul blamed himself when he saw what happened.

Finally, after Dot asked Elsa to pay for the surgery that would separate her from her sibling, Stanley suggested to Elsa that instead, perhaps “a mercy killing” would be more appropriate. Elsa agreed.

And Ethel overheard everything.
