This latest sneak preview clip from tonight’s True Tori Season 2 Episode 2 on Lifetime will illustrate to you just how painfully messed up their relationship is.

Not just because Dean McDermott is a depressed, drunk manipulator who goes through the motions in marriage and cheats on his wife, but because …

It’s just painful watching them interact over a baked potato.

If you were to judge their marriage based on this one scene from True Tori Season 2 Episode 2, you’d likely wonder how they’ve even made it this far.

The tension is too much to watch, almost, and it’s over almost literally nothing. It’s not like Emily Goodhand is in the room here. Just a baked potato.

When a dispute over how to best prepare this food product devolves into one of the two parties asking "why are you even with me?" Well, that says it all.

"You come from a place of knowing how to do everything better," she says, and we get the sense that it’s not just dinner she’s talking about up in here.

To which Dean responds to her, in typical Dean fashion, "If I’m trying to figure out why is doesn’t work and you feel bad about it, that’s your problem."

Tori: "You having a reaction like this, makes me feel like I can’t bring stuff up."

Dean: "Why are you even with me?!"

Us: GROAN.

The duo’s rocky road over the past year has been something.

It’s clearly taking a toll on the 41-year-old former 90210 actress, and not just emotionally. She was hospitalized for a nervous breakdown last week, writing:

"This sick in hospital I finally see how quickly life can take it all away from you. We all need 2 step up from inside & go 4 it! W/our friends by our side."

"Sadly," she added more shamelessly that anything you’ll see if you watch True Tori online, "I’ve finally faced truth that 1 person will never be there 4 me. #TrueTori"

Not that she’s without fault, but no wonder Tori doesn’t want any more kids with this 1 person. Amazing that it took four of them to realize this, but still.

Better late than never, we guess.
