Todd Chrisley is back on USA and he knows best, or so we’re told.
With the first two installments of the sophomore season airing last night, we were reminded (for better or worse) of some of the highs and lows of Todd’s existence.
In Chrisley Knows Best Season 2 Episode 1, his 16-year old daughter Savannah wants to date Spencer Lloyd, who once tried out for American Idol.
Meanwhile, Todd’s wife is going back to work, which means it now falls upon on Todd to help make dinner and take care of other chores around the house.
He’s like a fish out of water in this totally not scripted plot line!
The premise of Season 2 is that Chrisley must respond to the chaos around him as his world is rocked, not by bad things but by big changes just the same.
His wife, Julie, is back to being a real estate broker.
His son Chase is turning 18 and Savannah is now becoming a woman too. Add to that the family’s smaller (12,600 square feet, down from 30,000) abode?
It’s a lot to handle for the Atlanta family man.
Fortunately, it also means more than enough Toddisms to go around, and just enough genuine emotion and humor to overcome all the sitcomy twists.
Moving on to Chrisley Knows Best Season 2 Episode 2, we see Chase and Savannah stay home to babysit Grayson as Todd and Julie try to go on a date.
Whether it was a relaxing, enjoyable one is another story.
As we frequently see with Todd’s life, it does not turn out quite as he expects, and he reacts as only he can. He is worth a spot on your DVR if nothing else.
