The hearts of viewers around the country may have been breaking following the shocking death that concluded Arrow Season 3 Episode 1, but the fists up CW executives are simply pumping today.
That’s because Arrow returned last night to 2.8 million viewers and a 1.0 rating among 18-49-year olds, with those figures representing an 18 percent and 11 percent rise, respectively, from its Season 2 finale in May.
Elsewhere on The CW, a rerun of The Flash Season 1 Episode 1 impressively drew in over two million viewers as well.
ON CBS, meanwhile, Survivor remained mostly steady with last week’s numbers, while Criminal Minds garnered 10.5 million viewers and Stalker 8.1 million, both falling 15 percent in the demo from their premieres.
ON ABC, The Middle held firm; The Goldbergs and Modern Family dipped a bit, but Black-ish 8 million saw an improvement and Nashville ticked down a smidge.
ON FOX, Hell’s Kitchen was seen by 3.8 million people, while Red Band Society (2.9 million) is on the verge of cancelation.
ON NBC, Mysteries of Laura was somehow watched by 8.5 million households, a drop of six percent from last Wednesday, while Chicago P.D. (6.7 million) was steady.
