We know you’re sick of counting bodies in Charming, Unser.
But Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 2 continued to drive the point home: you can’t exactly put away your abacus away just yet.
No member of SAMCRO has been killed off just yet, but the actions of Jax and company have now placed them down a precarious path.
As part of their plan to tear down Lin this week, they asked for help from the charter led by Jury. He recommended a couple of freelancer killers to help with a ganking of Lin’s gun delivery and, after it was completed, Jax, Bobbyand Chibs paid these two young men a visit.
They shot them dead, in order to cover their tracks, and this plot for revenge seemed to be running along smoothly. Except there was one major problem we learned at the end of the installment:
One of the dead men appears to be Jury’s son. Jax did not know this at any point. But it’s rather clear we haven’t seen or heard the last of this storyline.
To drive the theme of fathers, sons and their bonds home, we conclude the hour on Jax arriving home and getting into bed with Abel. A single tear streams down Jax’s face.
Elsewhere during a solid follow-up episode:
- Wendy and Nero totally deserve their own spin-off. They checked out Abel’s new school together, comparing drug pasts along the way, and have an easy, funny chemistry that we hope to see more of each week.
- After being untied and gagged by Juice, Unser is simply told that his captor if wanted by the club for "old sins." We later see Unser accept a consulting position with Sheriff Jarry and request files on Tara’s murder.
- Safe to assume this will place him in the crosshairs of Gemma, isn’t it?
- Abel brought us to tears by asking about her mom, to which Gemma replied: Because your mommy was an angel. And all angels go to heaven.”
- August Marks advises Jax to NOT act out of emotion when getting back at whoever killed Tara (it’s Gemma, dude!!!). Jax’s response, which we know to be a lie? "When I find out who killed my wife, I won’t do a thing until the time is right."
