Vicki Gunvalson’s boyfriend Brooks Ayers isn’t necessarily denying that he’s an abusive cheater, but says the allegations against him are years old.

In a just-released audio tape, Big Bad Brooks purportedly admits cheating on her with hookers, and to physically and mentally “hurting” his girlfriend.

What was Ayers’ response to the bombshell claims?

“Timing is everything,” he said.

“[It’s] interesting to note that the (audio recordings) and videos recently released were recorded over a year ago about events that occurred several years ago.”

Brooks went on to say that he “chose to deal with [the situation] privately with loved ones whom I hurt, certainly not publicly, as it was no one else’s business.”

Both The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gunvalson and Ayers were being sued in a dispute over contractual obligations for her vodka brand.

In the recordings, Brooks can be heard addressing the lawsuit, and in doing so, admitting he’s “been known to cheat” on Vicki, including with prostitutes.

He also conceded an instance of physically-aggressive behavior toward Gunvalson during a Puerto Vallarta vacation, stressing “it was never a hit or a slap.”

Vicki defended Brooks recently and felt backlash from fans, who are apparently not drinking the Kool-Aid Ayers would like them to regarding this issue.

Their relationship has been the subject of much tumult, which you know if you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online, all of last season.

Then again, everything is the subject of tumult when Tamra Barney – Brooks’ primary critic among the cast members – throws her two cents into the mix.
