With sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner presiding as masters of ceremonies, the 25th Annual Much Music Video Awards took place on Sunday night.
Hedley took home a leading three trophies, including video of the year for their ebullient aspirational anthem “Anything,” while Drake won two awards.
Lorde, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were also winners at the Canadian event.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner provided a “competent, if dispassionate, hosting presence,” the Toronto Star reports, mostly ceding the spotlight to performers.
International pop stars including New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde and the Grammy-winning British sensation Ed Sheeran took the stage Sunday.
