Angelina Jolie has starred in a number of popular movies over the years, but none enjoyed a more successful first weekend than her newly released retelling of the Sleeping Beauty tale.

While reviews for Maleficent were mixed at best, the movie pulled in $70 million domestically and over $100 mill overseas to give Angelina her biggest opening to date.

Analysts credit the film’s female-based marketing campaign, and early reports indicate that Maleficent’s audience was over 60% women.

The movie marked the big screen debut of Angelina’s daughter Vivienne, who played a younger version of Elle Fanning’s Aurora. Now that she’s proven to be box office gold, will little Viv start popping up in all of Angie’s films?

Unlikely, as the Brangelina power couple say they’re still not entirely comfortable with the idea of their children becoming actors.

"Brad and I never wanted our kids to be actors," Jolie told Movie Fanatic recently. "But we also want them to be around film and be a part of mommy and daddy’s life."
