Nigella Lawson is a free woman.
About six weeks after the celebrity chef was seemingly choked by husband Charles Saatchi at a London restaurant, Lawson was granted a divorce at a hearing yesterday.
A 70-second hearing, according to to the Great Britain’s The Guardian.

Saatchi accepted a formal citation as a result of the incident, admitting that he did, indeed, assault his wife.
Although Lawson not present in court yesterday, the ex-Food Network star cited “unreasonable behavior” as grounds for the couple’s official split.
Legal documents revealed that both sides believe the marriage is irretrievably broken and, according to British law, a “decree absolute” will be issued in about six weeks, at which point their marriage will be truly, completely, 100% be over.
Which ought to be good news for Lawson. She deserves better.
