A few weeks ago, Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries made it clear: his company does not market to ugly customers.
Along similar lines, BeautifulPeople.com is now planning to expand its already-controversial resume:
Aside from being a dating service that only permits attractive users to join, the website is preparing a feature for companies that want to hire “good-looking” staff members.
The goal is for employers to pursue beautiful people for openings, while those people can sift through listings themselves and apply.
“An honest employer will tell you that it pays to hire good-looking staff,” said Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com, in a statement. “Attractive people tend to make a better first impression on clients, win more business and earn more.”
Where do you stand on this idea? What do you think of a service that helps companies seek out attractive applicants?
