When Regin Philbin left her television side in November 2011, Kelly Ripa was reduced to tears.
But the talk show host made a surprising admission about her former co-anchor on April 10 at a party for the Most Powerful People in Media list.
“I haven’t seen him,” Ripa said when asked whether she keeps in touch with Regis.
But Ripa was mostly in a joking mood at the event, comparing Philbin with Michael Strahan by saying:
“Well, they’re both incredible storytellers. They are both fiercely competitive, and they’re both incredible football players.”
Somewhat randomly, Kelly also touched on Anthony Weiner, who is considering a run for Mayor of New York.
“I say why not… I love a political Cinderella story.”
