He may be a multi-millionaire, but Ben Affleck will make like someone in poverty next week in order to bring attention to a cause close to his heart.
The actor has vowed to keep his food and drink costs below $1.50 for one day as a fundraising campaign for The Global Poverty Project.
The organization’s website says the purpose of the project is “to give a glimpse into the lives of 1.4 billion people who have no choice but to live below the line every day – and who have to make $1.50 cover a lot more than food.”

Affleck will specifically be supporting the Eastern Congo Initiative.
Those taking part – which also include Josh Groban and Sophia Bush – will Tweet their experiences throughout next week on their personal accounts and on Live Below the Line’s account (@LBLUS).
There’s no truth to the rumor that, with his marriage to Jennifer Garner supposedly in crisis, Affleck will actually use the money saved here to buy her a huge diamond ring.
