Glenn Beck signed off from Fox News last night in a more Glenn Beckian way.
The controversial host, who went off on New Yorkers earlier this week and premiered on the network the day prior to Barack Obama’s inauguration, addressed the reasons for his departure.
Bad ratings? No. A feud with Fox News chief Roger Ailes? Please.
“This show has become a movement,” he told viewers. “It’s not a TV show and that’s why it does not belong on television anymore. It belongs in your heart. It belongs in your neighborhood.”
Ah, okay. That explains it.
To his critics, Beck said: “You will pray for the time when I was only on the air for one hour a day.”
