Oscar De La Hoya has met an opponent he can’t knock down with a single punch: substance abuse.

The legendary boxer has entered a rehab facility, sources tell TMZ, entering a program a couple weeks ago in California.

De La Hoya retired in 2009 and has since become a successful promoter. His recent Tweets hinted that something was amiss, as the athlete wrote: “Stop finding excuses not to live. life is controlled by what you make of it and not of what it makes of you.”

We wish him a full recovery.
