It takes a lot to upstage Lady Gaga live, which tells you a lot about the Adam Lambert AMA performance Sunday night. He actually relegated Lady G to #2 on the list of buzzed-about, flamboyant American Music Awards performances!
That’s not to suggest Gaga didn’t bring the crazy as always.
In a flesh-colored bodysuit wrapped with white piping, she performed a smashing (in more ways than one) medley of her hits “Bad Romance” and “Speechless.”
After “Bad Romance,”she segued into “Speechless” by using her mic stand to bust open a glass box with a piano inside. Then she climbed inside and performed.
While breaking glass bottles, accompanied by violinists wearing gas masks in smoke-filled chambers beside her, natch. A far cry from that old school NYU video.
