It is what many people consider a match made in heaven.

Jennifer Aniston met with Bradley Cooper for a Washington D.C. rendezvous as a follow-up to their oh-so-romantic “just friends” New York City dinner in June.

Only they didn’t.

It seems overzealous celebrity gossip fans are just dying to see these two couple up – even flat-out making up reports that Aniston and Cooper are together.

“It didn’t happen, they were not there together,” says a rep for Bradley Cooper, throwing cold water on the D.C. hookup reports that have circulated online.

“Bradley was there on a stop-over from his USO tour.”

No, it’s not.

Cooper, who provides some of The Hangover quotes we like most, isn’t the only one busy denying a budding romance with Jennifer Aniston in recent weeks.

Her costar in The Bounty, Gerard Butler, recently blasted such rumors, calling them “just annoying.” Maybe so, but don’t expect them to stop anytime soon!

Do you think Jen and Bradley would make a good couple?
