Two weeks after being placed under a Britney Spears 5150 psychiatric hold, Mischa Barton has left the hospital and is ready to resume working.
“I can confirm that she’s left the hospital with the intention to resume production” of her new CW show, The Beautiful Life, her rep said today.
Mischa Barton was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center July 15 after calling police for “personal issues.”
But fortunately, Barton appears to be making progress since the meltdown.
Ashton Kutcher, co-creator and producer of The Beautiful Life, said as much.
“I can tell you right now Mischa Barton is doing great,” Kutcher said.
Mischa Barton is back on the outside … for now.
Production on The Beautiful Life, which stars Barton as a pill-popping supermodel (somehow it seems like an appropriate casting) is set to begin Friday.
The CW had been making contingency plans in case Mischa didn’t show up for filming, casting a character with similarities to Barton’s Sonja Stone.
