With Manny Ramirez suspended after testing positive for a banned substance, the Los Angeles Dodgers recalled prospect Whitney Port, 24, from AAA Hollywood.
Just kidding. But The City star did throw out the first pitch last night.
Here’s Whitney getting the L.A. Dodgers-N.Y. Mets game underway. Look at that form! The former intramural softball player doesn’t even throw like a girl …
Whitney Port threw out the first pitch … to her brother, Ryan!
Of the baseball experience, The Hills alum writes on her official site:
“What an exciting day!!! I just got home from the Dodgers game after throwing out the first pitch (to my brother Ryan, who took on the role of catcher).
We got there at 4:30 and we were escorted right out to the field. Some of the players even came up to me to welcome me… they were all so sweet.
It was so cool because I’ve been a Dodgers fan my whole life so it was really special to be there with my entire family. My little sister Jade, my brother Ryan, my mom, my dad and my grandfather all were there to support me.
All in all I’m pretty proud of myself… for someone who hasn’t played in quite a few years I think I did pretty well ;)”
Cute staff, for sure! Click to enlarge lots more photos of Whitney Port – a.k.a. Whittie P. – and her brother Ryan at the game last night …
